Develop a brand identity and microsite for Mikayuu—an emerging Indonesian custom-made wood table based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
We create 3 unique concepts in the beginning. This company initially targets customers primarily in Japan and Indonesia. Hence, they naturally want to adapt Japanese simplistic and elegant design.
The “M” mark idea came from table legs. At first, we sketch the whole name, MIKAYUU as table legs; now we think the M mark is enough. The unique mark is so simple that the table artist can carve it on every piece of furniture that they make.
The client wants to create a simple web to showcase the story and the beauty of their furniture. We decide to use Squarespace and find a template that fits the client and our mutual vision for the site.
